ACCESS (Achieving a College Connection through Experienced Student Service) is a new committee that provides local high school students with resources and advice to navigate through the college admissions process. As Tech students who recently endured the admissions process, we have a lot to offer high school Juniors and Seniors including advise on choosing possible schools, where to find scholarships, how to write essays, and many other aspects of the admissions process. Because we all had to go through the admissions process, each of us has the ability to help.

Requirements

The time commitment will be a 2-hour block twice a month and we will be working mostly with Southside High School this year. We will have about 15-25 Georgia Tech students to work with Southside students, sometimes 1-on-1 and sometimes in a small group setting. The GT students will go to Southside as a group twice a month to work with Juniors this semester, and each session will focus on a different admissions topic.
