Medical AssistanceCommittee Chair: Nancy Kim Contact Information: nkim39@gatech.edu Live, learn, connect - discover new medical opportunities and new ways of helping people! Go beyond the clinical and interact directly with patients in a variety of fun, edifying settings. Medical Assistance provides volunteers with meaningful experiences in medical service in the Atlanta community. Opportunities for service are not only plentiful, but vitally necessary as well. In the Atlanta area, the numbers of the medically ill or injured who are in need of compassion and support are overwhelming. Currently, the focus of Medical Assistance is on fun, interactive projects that allow volunteers to work directly with the people they are helping. Past projects have included art parties at a children's hospital, gardening work at an AIDS shelter, and a baking event at an in-patient facility for children. Come join the fun and make a difference! |
